IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. The upper cervical chiropractic adjustment may in many cases have a profound positive impact on one’s health, but it’s important to understand that if you have had your condition or illness for a long period there will have been other changes in your body that need to be addressed.
  2. There have been many studies pointing to TMJ syndrome as a possible cause for many symptoms and conditions, and there are many dentists who understand that there is a correlation between TMJ dysfunction (also known as cranio-mandibular dysfunction [CMD]) and disorders of the cervical spine. However not all of them understand the importance of working closely with an upper cervical chiropractor to achieve long-standing results.
  3. The importance of having a ‘coordinating’ professional, whether that is your Doctor or other professional cannot be underestimated. There are however, few Doctors who would contemplate such an approach especially since it involves referral to a ‘chiropractor’. Be aware that many Doctors do not really understand what chiropractors do let alone what specific upper cervical chiropractors do. If you do have a Doctor who is willing to coordinate and manage your care under this approach, then you are indeed fortunate.
